Watched this last night. I hadn’t even really heard of it except that Demian Bichir was nominated for best actor at the Academy Awards. It was incredibly touching and poignant. On a side note, I hate movie trailers. Don’t watch the trailer of this film if you plan on watching it. It shows key points in the plot. I fucking hate that. I prefer to watch movies based on a recommendation and never seeing anything more than a teaser trailer.

Indian and the Cupboard is the first movie I remember reading the book before it was a film. It holds a special place in my heart. Its on HBO right now and I am remembering exactly what it felt like to watch a movie like this when I was only 10 years old. Or 11. I’m bad at math.
