My mother and oldest sister always loved The Joy Luck Club. I watched it when I was young, and when it came on showtime last night I decided to watch it for the first time in probably 15 years. I remembered it was sad and some pretty horrible things happen, but I couldn’t remember most of the plot. God. Damn.
